Last weekend I was back on the snow with my cross country skis for the first time since April. That's 8 months since last performing a complex set of skills.
What is interesting is that each year the first outing is a little bit better than the previous year as the skills have been burned a bit deeper into my mind with a winter of practice. It doesn't stop me being sore as hell the next day but at least i'm no longer Bambi on ice.
